Da Hong Pao, meaning “Big Red Robe,” is one of the most celebrated oolong teas in China and is widely regarded as the king of Wuyi rock teas (Yancha).

This tea originates from the Wuyi Mountains in Fujian Province, a UNESCO-recognized landscape famous for its steep rocky cliffs and mineral-rich soil that create the distinctive character of Wuyi teas.

Through traditional roasting and careful craftsmanship, Da Hong Pao develops a complex flavour profile combining floral fragrance, roasted depth, and lingering natural sweetness. The tea’s signature mineral finish — often called “rock rhyme” (Yan Yun) — reflects the unique mountain terroir where it is grown.
