Gongfu Brewing (Yixing Clay Teapot or Gaiwan)

• Tea amount: 5–7g per infusion

• Water temperature: 95–100°C

• Optional quick rinse to awaken aroma

• Steeping guide:

  • 1st infusion: 10–15 seconds

  • Extend time gradually for later brews

• Releases roasted fragrance, earthy depth, and mellow sweetness.

Boiling Method (Traditional for Aged Teas)

• Tea amount: 8–10g

• Water volume: 1–1.2L

• Simmer for 3–5 minutes

• Produces a darker, richer, more nourishing brew with deep complexity.

General Tips

• Break off even, small pieces of the compressed tea for ideal extraction.

• Use filtered water to enhance clarity and flavour.

• Avoid excessively long steeps unless boiling—aged oolong can get too thick.

• Store in a cool, breathable, dry place to preserve Jin Hua activity.
